               PROLOGUE
It's been long we awaited this. And its here, hope it's what we are expecting.
Days, weeks and months gone by, it is time. Why! Oh no! What is that? Abomination!
It is a Girl!!!
Patience they say, gets d best of things. God's time people will say is the best.
Surely another opportunity will come our way again.
Happiness at last, the time has come.
The mother is safe, the child is hale and hearty but! But what? What could the problem be? Hope it's not... It is a Girl !!!"
Hope dies slowly, will there be another opportunity?
If there is,will it be what she wants.
With sorrows in her heart, and tears in her eyes.
She wonders!, finally she takes in again. But threat comes from almost everyone.
Labour comes and goes, a child is crying. Is it a girl again?
Hope it's not...,too bad it's a another girl. What! Woman pack your load and leave my life.
THE MAIN PIECE
 OBINRIN (A GIRL)
A child is a gift from God, not minding the sex. Be it a male or a female, it is a child. Then why is it not so in African. Africans find no value or worth in a girl child. In some essential part of African, once it is a girl, she must not be given an equal life like a boy. She is denied education as it is a belief that it is a waste of money, for she will end up as a "MERE HOUSEWIFE" who all the education bestowed on her would end up in the kitchen.(paragraph) A woman who is unable to give birth to a male child is called barren. But the question is WHY? Did she not give birth to a girl child? Can't a girl child be honoured as a male child would be honoured? Is a girl not a child? A girl child can't live a normal peaceful life. In some places, when a girl child is given birth to, she will be thrown into the evil forest. Some other place she will be killed while some places will banish both mother and child. Why all this punishment on innocent girls? I feel so much pain writing this because i'm also a girl. I wish the adage which says" the PEN is mightier than the SWORD" would manifest in this article of mine. I wish the girl child would now be seen as a once lost but now found treasure. I wish the girl child can now  be adored just like a male child would be adored. I wish a girl child can be given birth to without been hidden. I wish the birth of a girl child will bring joy, happiness, jubilation and celebration to everyone. I wish the girl child can be given a life opportunity to portray the best in her and prove to the world that she is OBINRIN ( A great girl).

BOLD AS A LION!                 Written by The Story Teller,  Ejiro Emenike Ukaumune as       inspired by The Song  'BOLD  AS A LION,  Composed                  by Tayo Bamgbose.                               ✍ I saw people who queued In front of an A.T.M machine. It was a very long queue and apparently people had become restless. Suddenly, a man dressed in white Agbada accompanied by a Police officer walked in. He looked at the queue for a while, then he headed towards the A.T.M machine while the Police officer who accompanied him stood very close. As soon as the person who was at the A.T.M was done, the man stretched forth to insert his A.T.M, then there was an uproar from the crowd. "Ahan! Oga! People were here before you nau!" Voices lamented. What Followed after that was quite...
