A Combination of Beauty and Brain! Yetty tells her Story..

My journey into entrepreneurship/business started 4 years ago, having worked in 4 of the major financial institutions as a contract staff in the marketing department. The years spent in the bank was full of opportunities, challenges, unending targets and high  expectations.

In February 2012, I  resigned from one of the banks due to frustration and monotonous nature on the job. Families and  friends began to ask questions, why, what next etc  with  only N12,000 in my account ,I established Yettyjewel Ventures .Proceeded to Lagos island market, purchased some few fabrics  and started  advertising  and selling on my  phone through bbm pictures and one on one marketing. The profit and capital I ensured was  turned over into the business. Business began to grow little by little, added household and kitchen products to my line of business. All these items were stocked in a corner in my room
From the proceeds, I enrolled for Masters in Information Technology at the University of  Lagos, attended business  workshops, conferences, trainings to acquire more  knowledge about entrepreneurship and business.

MAROONED. My father has Never been celebrated. He will never be Remembered for the Old TV that he bought Above his means After beating up His burly, deviant customer. It is not that My father has never Answered me anytime I Scream 'papa' after school, When my detractors clamour For my naive neck. There is just no need For the horse to collapse If the race has been lost. If you look closely, He has never breastfed I and my errant siblings. Father does not know How the stove works, And he is the enemy Of the old broom Behind the door To the soot-caked kitchen. My father is useless When mother is pregnant. And he is quick to stamp His feet and Declare food tasteless. Food that he does not Know which ingredients Were used to cook, Ingredients that he can't Find his way to the Market stall where They were bought At prices ridiculously Loftier than the Pennies he threw at mama W...
